Guest guest
Yes, we dealt with sweaty feet.....though it was during the summer! Change the socks frequently. Check with your doctor as to what powders/products are safe to use to treat/prevent fungus. Wash the feet with anti-fungal/anti-bacterial soap if necessary. Maybe we need to talk to Jay (Markell) about putting some side vents/air holes in the shoes as well. =) If mold forms in the shoe, I used a Q-tip dipped in bleach or alcohol and swabbed in the crevices to clean it out----then took a hair dryer to get it dry quickly. Good luck getting the new smaller shoe quickly! > > I took Maddie back to Childrens this morning to figure out why her > right foot would not stay in the dbb. Guest guest
I don't know how she manages to get sweaty feet in the winter in New England, but there you have it. I hope the open heel Markells will help air out her shoes so her feet don't sweat as much. I'll keep changing the socks, and the nurse said to try corn starch on her feet to absorb the moisture. I don't think she had seen such a sweaty foot problem before, so if the corn starch doesn't work, we'll have to come up with plan B. Thanks for the advice. - Michele 5/18/02 and Maddie 9/6/05 --- jennyandkelly wrote: > Yes, we dealt with sweaty feet.....though it was > during the summer! > Change the socks frequently. Guest guest
Hi Michele, Corn starch works great! Will clear up almost any rash too btw, I know it seems strange to put it on a dry itchy rash but it works wonders! Hope it works for Maddie and that you can get the shoe size issue solved quickly! Hopefully her right foot catches up to her left as she grows. GREAT idea about the venting in the side of the shoes !! Will you post a suggestion for Jay or send him and e-mail? & Grace > > > > > > I took Maddie back to Childrens this morning to > > figure out why her > > > right foot would not stay in the dbb.
