antibiotic-need reply before 10:30 CST

Hi,

It's been a long time since I posted anyhing....My son is sick with fever and a terrible cough. Leaving for the doctor at 10:30 CST. If the doctor wants to give antibiotics, should I insist on a shot instead of oral antibiotics? Does it make a difference? He's been doing so well on SCD for 8 months. I hate to mess anything up in his gut with oral antibiotics.
