Guest guest
Yes I am nervous. After many years of failed diet and exercise. I am glad to have found this board and will post after the surgery. I am having the open roux-en y. I am amazed at how every surgeon does things differently. My surgeon won't let me eat food for three weeks. Strictly liquids. Then one week of pureed then onto soft foods then finally to regular stuff. A guy I work with his surgeon had him eating soft boiled eggs and toast the day he left the hospital. He has lost about 92lbs in 5 months. I get so confused on what is right or wrong. I trust my surgeon fully. He is suppose to be one of the best in the country. My hospital has low problems. Soooo, with all that I am about ready to go. My only problem is wanting to eat everything in the world. They want you to first lose weight than stay your current weight or the surgery will be cancelled. Yikes. I did lose 9 lbs. It is taking all my engery to stay away from all the fatty good nummy foods and buffets. Tuesday is my last day at work and I won't be able to eat all day that day. Help me... I will have to chew gum or drink a load of water... Thanks for letting me vent. Wish me luck. Your posts have been wonderful and informational.
