Guest guest
I'm almost 15 months out and I've lost 120 lbs. I too have been loosing the same 2 or 3 lbs for the last couple of months. Today, I started 3 days of protein shakes and water. Hopefully, I can jump start my weight lose again. The only way I stay out of the nasty white carbs (pretzels etc) is to keep them out of the house. I have a rule.....if I can't eat it....I don't buy it or cook it. It's weird....if I buy the stuff I eat it.....if someone else buys it(husband or kids)....I can stay out of it. Weird. Guest guest
First off congrats for maintaining the 150 pound loss for 2 1/2 years- good job. I'm only 15 months out and continue to gain and lose the same 3 pounds for the past few months. I think we know what we have to do if we want to continue losing. However, its a matter of whether we are motivated enough to do it. Its still a game of calories in = calories out. We have to eat less, especially those evil white carbs. Are you exercising? I have found that to be the best way to keep the weight off, regular exercise, 3 or 4 times a week. As for getting past the carb addiction, keeping it out of the house certainly helps, and I've heard, though never tried, the protein only phase for 3 or 4 days. Supposedly it works to cut out the carb/sugar cravings. The bottom line is you can do it if you choose to do it. You still have this wonderful tool to help. I always advise others to try to take it one step at a time. Sometimes doing it all at once-giving up carbs/sugar, upping the daily water intake, adding exercise, cutting calories-can be overwhelming, so if you just tackle one at a time, and when comfortable you have that one under control, try the next, it may work better for you. good luck! Weird.>> If you were talking about ME, I'd say this is a mind game I'd play with myself. A " mine/yours " kind of thing. You didn't buy it, so it isn't yours, so you don't eat it. And vice-versa.
