Guest guest
Hi all, You have more than educated me that diahrrea is something to expect, although the frequency and time it lasts seems to vary a lot and it sure would be nice to have some idea about how long it lasts and more detail about how to avoid it. I was wondering if we collectively could figure out 2 things -- 1) A median on how long it lasts after surgery, and 2) if we could isolate the main physiological causes, anecdotal info which is helpful indeed, but perhaps beyond " don't drink dairy " or " I can't eat nuts... " Many have mentioned it is due to the gall bladder removal, in addition to the malabsorption of fats. So which fats seem OK? Andfor example, could it be a food combining issue? Perhaps certain fats work better alongside other foods in teh digestive tract....this is the kind of research and detail that would be really helpful. The postops have all this info if we could just collect it. That would be awesome. Are there any data already, or specific studies on causes of diahrrea in postops? Thanks for your input. =============================== Hawkins netmaker2@... =============================== " Those who can't laugh at themselves leave others to do the job!
