Guest guest
Great, at 1380. I seriously don't know if I can keep doing this iron elixer for the rest of my life. It tastes AWFUL and plus he's got me on it 3x a day and I can't eat/drink for an hour on each side of these doses. I'm really wondering how I can keep up with all these vites, protein, iron, etc. I feel like one of these old people who has a med list a mile long and all they must do all day is take meds. My first reality check I give people considering WLS is to be prepared for the maintenance involved in this. I took NO meds before surgery and this has been a major battle with myself to keep up with everything. I do it solely because I have to. That said, I cannot even begin to imagine how crappy I'd feel if I hadn't learned everything I have from this group. BTW, my hemotologist was really interested in knowing where I learned so much about the different types of iron! I told him that I was part of a national online group and we all share our different experiences, etc. He has treated several WLS patients and said, " I'm always interested in learning what other doctors are recommending for their patients, what is working for them, etc. " WOW, I liked that!
