Guest guest
Hello, friends. I just got back from vacationing in Orlando. While I was away, I went no mail. I had an issue while I was down there and wanted to discuss it with you folks. I read a few of the posts on the home page and noticed there was a discussion about stomach pain/intestinal blockage. I may have missed all the posts, but I believe what I experienced could possibly be this. On Sunday, we went to Universal Studios. That morning, I had what felt like a slight case of gas. As the day progressed, it got much more intense. By noon, I was feeling the most intense gas pains (at least, that's what I thought they were) I've ever experienced. I had to have a medic take me back to the car because the pain was so intense in my lower abdomen that I couldn't walk. I layed down most of the day on my side - that was the only way the pain was somewhat alleviated. On Monday, it was still there, but not as intense. Since then, every time I eat, no matter what it is, I feel an immediate pain in my lower abdomen in the middle. The pain reminds me of terrible constipation. I've also had more unpleasant bowel movements than I normally do. I went to my PCP today who said it sounds as if I'm having spasms in my intestines for some reason. She gave me Levinsin for the spasms and said that if it wasn't any better in a few days, that I may have to see a specialist for further exploration. From your experiences, does this sound like something that could be a blockage or kink? It was actually the first thing I thought of after the pain became so intense. It sure didn't feel like a normal case of bad gas! I guess that I'll go ahead and wait and few days and see what happens.
