Guest guest
i think there's a lot of us that have had the surgery that were on anti-depressants before the surgery, me included. the doctor told me to stay on them til after the surgery even though i really didn't need them. depression is a common feeling after surgery and such a life altering experience. hang in there and keep your chin up. laurette 4/23/04 open rny 309/290/259/150 St. Charity Cleveland, Ohio

You are not the first person I have heard of who has had some mental issues and was still able to have the surgery. You have accomplished the hard part which is getting the insurance approval. Good luck today. Dora an update..... As I have said, my insurance finally approved me for the surgery. When I contacted my surgeon's office to set up an appt. I was informed that his office had concerns with my psych eval.I was devastated. They told me to get another opinion. So I made another appt and that appt is today. I have been diagnosed with depression and take meds for it, but I emotionally very stable, has anyone else had this problem??? Anyhow I need to get ready for the appt. Please keep your fingers crossed for me?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
