IgG False Negatives after 3 weeks?

I have an IgG test scheduled for next week, and I've read that it can show up

false negatives if you haven't had a given food in the last 3 weeks. Well by

that point I won't have had much of anything but chicken soup, carrots, eggs and

yogurt for the previous 3 weeks! Should I be rescheduling this test for

sometime later? Should I be going off SCD for the next week or so and then

start back up after my test?

Gabe,I have heard that about the IgG test. You actually have to be eating the thing to see. Is it important to know if you have an allergy? If you have eliminated it and it helps your condition, whether it is a true allergy or not is moot, it doesn't agree with you. Does it really matter if it is a 'sensitivity' or an 'allergy?'If you really want to do the test, I would clarify with the person performing the test. If you are required to eat the item, you need to be prepared for a reaction/flare.AmeliaHusband UC 9 years, SCD 20 monthsLDN 3 mgTo: BTVC-SCD Sent: Wed, February 24, 2010 4:58:13 PMSubject: IgG False Negatives after 3 weeks?
