Pity scale obsession

The scale is a fickle friend. I pity people who are obsessed with

the scale to the point where it determines whether their day will be

good or bad. The scale is not trustworthy. A pox on the scale!!!

I went up 3 pounds yesterday. Today I'm down one pound for a gain of

two.

HOWEVER, I know from my experience these last two years that it is

definitely due to one of the following:

1) I ate salty foods yesterday

2) It's close to that time of the month

3) I always gain a few pounds for some inexplicable reason right

before my body breaks a plateau and drops some weight

4) I haven't been drinking enough water.

So I don't let it affect me in a negative way. I use it as a tool to

remind me to watch the salty snacks and make sure I drink enough

water. Meanwhile I just got back from the gym and I'm going out to

the Macy's mega sale to treat myself to a new pair of earrings (a

cheap $3 fix...about the same as a bag of chips!).

I spent way to long living with low self-esteem. I sure as heck am

not going to let a ridiculous scale take away my happiness and love

of my ever improving body!

Have a wonderful weekend everyone.

Smiles,

Vicki
