Guest guest
Hi everyone. My son (Mason) is 8 weeks old and he got his DBB yesterday. We didn't get much sleep last night as he would pretty much only sleep if he was being held, but this morning I found a position that he likes (finally!!!). He has a vibrating pumpkin seat that reclines and he is happily playing in it as I'm typing this. Wide awake and no tears! The way he cried yesterday I thought it may be weeks before we figured this out, but he seems OK for now. I had to put 2 pairs of thick socks on his tender little feet before he would tolerate the shoes. I think that in a few days, he'll be ok with 1 pair, but his casts did a number on his feet and they look sore. Neosporin seems to give him some relief as well. It is exhausting and just plain terrible to see my baby suffer and know that it is for his own good. I hope he adjusts to this quickly. I was soooo excited to have him out of the casts, I didn't realize the shoes were worse. He's had casts since he was 6 days old and I am looking forward to giving him his 1st real bath (not a sponge bath).
