Welcome to all the new members here! A brief recap for those who dont know me. My names KAt. Im 19 and from the uk. I had Surgery in april 2002 to remove my wisdom teeth. Then i had surgery on 1st august 2002 to correct a severe class III under bite. I had both upper and lower jaw surgery plus RPE and Nasal work. I was also as my surgeon liked to call it 'his guinea pig' almost as i was the first of his patients to have the dissolveable plates and screws used during surgery. almost 3 years on and i cant feel the screw heads below my eyes anymore. Relief! lol.... Any questions please feel free to ask. Good luck to those who have apporaching surgeries and i wish you all speedy recoveries. Guest guest
Hi Kat Suzan, in Guildford here. I'm intrigued about your dissolvable plates and kind of freaked about the comment that you could no longer feel the screws beneath your eyes! I hadn't even considered being able to feel the hardware holding my face back together!!! I haven't even got my braces yet and having been quite calm about the whole process have recently started to get scared again, mainly about things like numbness, regression, the recovery process. As people from the uk are a bit more scarce on here I wondered who your surgeon was and if you had any numbness problems, whether you're happy with your result, how long it took you to recover, and did you go the NHS route or private? Sorry many Q's playing on my mind at the moment, all helpful, advice accepted! martynwarwick wrote: Hi Guys!!!! How are you all? I hope your keeping well!
