Guest guest
Marshall, Wishing you all the best of luck. Will keep you in my prayers. I know how those mountains and valleys can be. I was to originally have my WLS surgery on March 10th only to have it cancelled the day I was to go into the hospital because my Dr. lost his malpractice insurance. Talk about a valley...lol. But I got myself on my feet again right away and went through the hoops and had my surgery on April 23. Keep your chin up!!! Laurette 290/266/??? Guest guest
So sorry to hear that Marshall, but you definitely have a positive attitude about it and that makes all the difference in the world. Keep at it and I'm sure you'll get up that mountain . Apparently they had too many people scheduledfor this week's class and they had to push some of us out a few weeks. However, since I'm going to be at a conference on that day, I've nowhad to move even further out - July 28! *SIGH*However, the upside to this is that it gives me six more weeks to getthe last 15 lbs off before the class, and they told me that if I cometo that class at or below my target weight they'll put me right intothe queue for surgery at that time without needing to have any furtherassessment by the surgeon. It seems that if your initial goal is 325or higher, you have to meet with the surgeon and be reassessed beforethey'll schedule you at SSF - but if your initial goal weight is belowthat amount they'll schedule you as soon as you meet the goal.Keep your fingers crossed for me, everyone. Now that we're into summersession (I work in a college) my schedule is much better and I'veadded in several more exercise classes each week and more supportgroup meetings. It's begun to have an effect; I finally startedmoving down again after several weeks of basically staying in oneplace, and if I can keep it up like this for the next six weeks I mayeven manage to get below my goal.Cathy C.
