Guest guest
Friend, spend your time where you choose to spend it. And I hope those here will check out the site you suggest, too. For me, despite yahoo's shortcomings, this site is easier to navigate than that one, although I know many people have found support and reassurance there. I encourage all sources of information for all people. But please don't down this one because you like another format better. Personally, I find the archwired format cumbersome to navigate. And it, in my experience, is more devoted to discussions of braces (which of course are relevant here, too) than surgery, which is a whole 'nother giant step. So everybody read everything, and use the parts that serve you best. You can't have too many resources... More info is better, always, I believe! Nope. You don't have to keep scrolling. Just pick a keyword and do an archive search, and you'll find the references. It's not a tidy process, but I've never found anything organized in any way i could figure out on the archwired site, through no fault of the participants. I'm glad you've had better results. I wish that some of the docs who are posting ads on the pages here would participate, at least occasionally, in the discussions. I agree that having such expert commentary is useful. But I also would warn that comments from one expert may not reflect what your own expert has found in examining your mouth. And I can tell you, as a person who has had braces and ortho corrections alone, and who has had surgery (even minimal, as mine was), that the prospect of surgery on the jaws is quite different, and (I think) more frightening one than wearing the hardware to move things around. I do think your contributions and viewpoints are welcome, and hope you will continue to post here. The more info, the better! And I wish that some of the docs who place ads on this site and OSS 2 would occasionally check in, too, and give us some ideas of what they think. Clearly they're interested in our conversations, because they're paying Yahoo for their ads here. Wish they'd contribute, too. Even if they say, " Cammie is a nutcase, and don't listen to a thing she says! " Cammie > > In my opinion, this yahoo support group is a great idea.
