Guest guest
Hi Katja Sounds like your having a rough go of it, man this group is great cause it really helps to be able to chat it up with others that are in the same boat, who knows and are feeling the same way.... Thank God I have Vinyl siding on my house or I might be out there painting it,I am not good at layin around , LOL...... I am still quiet swollen in my jaw and neck , Very tight feeling , My bottom lip down to my chin is still completely numb... My no talking day did'nt go so well as I have had several people stop by to see how I'm makin out...It's like " Please Dont Make Me Talk " ....can't you see I have a broken jaw!!...I sound like an Idiot talking with my mouth clamped shut....Think I will get me a puppet ,to divert attention from my face while trying to yap.... The last few nights I have been only taking my pain med before Bed ,By that time I am ready for it ,mega pain in chin area from the inside out... I even Sipped on a rye and coke last night..strictly for medicinal purposes only (yeah right)..... It is 1 week today since they smashed my face....and I am out of my " I think I am going to die mode " The 1st 5 days were pretty bad ,worse that I had imagined.... At this point I know there is still a LONG road to recovery, Before they have to Re-Crown a Pile of my teeth,... I will deal with that when the time comes.... Thats funny ...I too went straight for the go-gone...I ended up using a little paint thinner to get that sticky crap off.... Ive lost 6 lbs in 7 days...at this rate I'm going to be able to, " Tread water in a test tube " before this is all over and done with ..... No bruising so far , a little suprised, after having such a smash face... My wife and Kids have given me strict orders to stay in bed till Friday, and just play sick....or I am not allowed to go to the Hockey game...Our Jr. A Team Won last night to advanced to the next round of the playoffs ...So I am going to try to be good ...I get the willys thinkin about sittin in the stands and getting a puck in the mouth .... I really Hope You perk up soon and turn the corner... Just hang in there...time has a way of healing most setbacks in Life Keep in touch Take Care Bob > > Hi Bob, > How's everything going?
