Chico's is one of mine that works alot. Another is Tomatsu (on sale). There is one other I can't think of name that works for my alien body shape. A real help was to go to Nordstroms some time back and meet with a helper lady (free). She took one look at me and said, this label, that label, this other one. And, she was right. get some help and you can cut way down on time wasted. all best ceepfashionconsultanttoday
Guest guest
I feel you, Vicki. Shopping is fun in that I have sooooo much to look at. But that also makes it a nightmare. I don't know where to go. You know - go to the fat ladies store - go to sizes 26, a couple of choices, choose, go home. Now it's, " where the hell do I go? " There's a zillion & one different departments in Nordstroms & macy's for women. Somethings I can wear 12, others 14, others 16 and even some 16's are tight. I try on a zillion (you notice I like that word <G>) clothes - nothing. I see an outfit I think I like, doesn't fit - too small or too big. Heck, I don't even know what I like half the tme. Clothes I use to not even notice (cause there's no way that would look good on this 300+ lb body), I now have to give a second look cause I could wear that style now. I gravitate to the plus sizes like a magnet. My hubby keeps saying, " come on, baby, you don't need these clothes any more " The personal shopper says, no more baggy, excess material. Tuck your blouses in, wear a belt. IS SHE CRAZY!?! My mind won't even wrap around the thought. By the time I get through shopping, I am exhausted, depressed & happy all at the same time. Happy cause I DON'T wear 26/28 depressed cause I'm not a size 12 in EVERYTHING. I tried to explain how I felt to friends (non & never were MO friends) and they just look at me like I am crazy and say I am acting silly. I know they don't get it. Yeah, Vicki, I feel ya. Shopping - AAAAUUUUGGGGHHHHHH! (But I keep going. I am going to get the hang ovf it yet <VBG>) Lorraine > OK, when i wore a size 24/26, I knew where to shop.
