Guest guest
Although nut a nut, how does coconut flour fit into scd? I just made some bread because I wanted something to snack on other thAn pureed veggies and chicken. I was trying to branch out a bit. Would you consider that somewhat beginner or more advanced? Same with the other nuts and peanuts. I'm one of the oddballs who found that peanut butter was tolerated early in SCD but nut butters were not and continue to be a major issue. I can handle nut flours IF I stick to pecan, walnut and almond flours, and use a mixture so that there is never more than 50% almond flour. And limit myself to one nut flour item per day. So, some trial and error is involved, as with all things. Kim M. SCD 6 years > > Hi, everybody > I am new to the SCD. My son is in his third week of SCD. I have made almond butter muffins for him, and he likes it a lot. But I have a little question: why can almond butter be used in the earlier stages of SCD, but almond flour cannot be used. They are both made from almonds and both ground very finely, so what is the difference. > I'll appreciate it if anyone could answer my little question. > Thanks! > > Frances > son UC SCD 3 weeks >

And it requires MUCH more liquid when baking. That needs to be kept in mind. If you don't add enough liguid not only will your muffins, bread or whatever taste dry, but they're fall apart.n-- ______________________________A funny, touching gift book for cat lovers.
