Guest guest
Hey everyone! I spoke with Dr. Ponseti and we're going there on the 30th. He's absolutely great. I love his accent. I explained Lucas' whole story and he kept mumbling " This is unfortunate... " to himself. Then to me he said, " You bring him here. We need to help this baby. " I started crying (yet again...). Someone said earlier that talking to him was like being touched by God and it's true. I feel very lucky and fortunate to be able to get Lucas in to see him. He told us to stay at the Mc house there. As for the brace he said to leave it off because his feet aren't corrected properly and it wouldn't do a thing. His reaction to the AFOs almost made me laugh. When I asked if I should put them on, he said " No. They do nothing. " I could almost see his hand cutting the air on the " no " . School is working with me. I have 4 options to work a weekend day to have a weekday off, plus a day of leave. Then she said she'd look into some other stuff. Now we've just gotta get our referral in time. My husband said he didn't care if our insurance would cover it or not, we're going anyway. He's as excited as I am. I'm off to call the dr.'s office that he was seeing. Dr Ponseti asked for the x-rays, said it wasn't important but if we could then to bring them. Thanks for everyones help and suggestions!
