Guest guest
Well, we are slowly getting back into routine here. He is still a little irritable, and wanting to be entertained more, but that also could be his age(7 months yesterday). He slept an entire night, deep sleep, no restlessness or stirring at all for 12 hours night before last. Still in our bed(we were already cosleeping, but had started to start the night off in the packnplay), but I think we are on the road to starting to be able to work on that. He is also back to not nursing at night again. Yeah! Just in time for a new round of colds and virus to get here. So restless sleep and crying last night, BUT due to illness NOT FAB. Never would I have thought I would be glad to lose sleep over a cold and low fever, lol. Now, onto my new question. It seems like overnight, he has grown. His normal foot, I had to move up a hole. I had to move his clubfoot up a hole also. His foot is actually down in the heel even more than it was...is it just a growth spurt(shoe fitting better) or is the heel coming down/stretching more maybe or both? Anything to be concerned over. I mean this literally happened in 12 hours. That long stretch of sleep he got. :-) His red spots that were on his heels have almost disappeared now. Oh, and he is standing up holding onto my fingertips now every chance he gets(in shoes and out)!! And he has really great balance. He is also loving pushing off the ground, and jumping. Wecounted up, and he was in casts like 18 out of his around 28 wks of life so far, so he is enjoying himself. Oh, another question..when he came out of his last cast, he skin was extremely dry. I have been putting Aveeno on it during diaper changes, but he has stratched it a lot. He bled all over his socks and shoes the other day. That stopped my heart. Anything else to try other trimming nails(done), and lotion to help the skin heal faster and not be so itchy??
