Guest guest
Hi Yann, I had a similar problem, I bit my cheeks and also my tongue, at times. That can be rough when you don't have any feeling. My advice is to try to blow your cheeks out before you bite down, or stick your tongue or finger there to push them out, before you bite down. And when you do bite down, do it SLOWLY and GENTLY. If something starts to hurt, stop biting or chewing! I don't think there's any solution other than to be patient with the residual swelling as it goes down, and to let your muscles settle into their new positions. In my case, anyway, things were fine after a few months. You could mention it to surgeon or ortho just to get their opinion and see if there's anything that might need grinding down, although I would hope they wouldn't do that unless it's absolutely necessary. Hope that helps, > I'm now free of the splint but am now finding that the backs of my > cheeks are getting caught in the braces. Guest guest
The problem even still with me is that if I bite hard once then the inside of my cheek swells which of course swollen causes worse biting. I often blow my cheeks out to avoid biting and eventually the swelling goea down and I don't bite that spot again!
