Help-Piriton for intolerances in Autism?

A 4 yr old has been prescribed Piriton by his GP for the effects of

intolerances, i saw him going wild after his first dose, has anyone

heard of Piriton being prescribed for Autism, any other opinions/info

would be most welcome.
