How many were in the first year of her life? this is her first pair. She has had 5 pairs of Markells (one pair we had to replace sooner than the others because ordered a half size up instead of a whole, she grew out in less than 2mo. She's had 3 gold bar replacements, got a red fillauer bar from Angel and used that till it broke (shoe plates came off the attachment point). She then got a medium adjustable gold bar that was too small. After that I had them make her an adjustable bar with two gold bars that they cut one end off of and clamped together with hose clamps (automotive). Not pretty, but it worked. Then we got the PM's. She has some curvy toe issues with the Markells that were squishing her toes together and her non CF second toe is really curvy. It sits on top of the other toes when in the shoes and is squashed so that it forced the toe to curve. The PM's have a much more roomy and open toe box and I wanted them to help her not be squished anymore. So far, her CF curvy toe is almost straight now and the other one, which was much worse is not nearly as bad and may even get straight someday! I have new pics of her feet from today which shows this a bit. I want a splint for her curvy toe though. But I have to get a doc to prescribe one for me. I'm hoping on the 13th I'll get that. Clear as mud? hehe... Guest guest
Hi Kori I just wandered why Darbi was in the s now when I know she has always been a mildish case. I thought they were more for atypical??
