Guest guest
Amy, My experience with the Dobbs' brace has been great. We've had both versions - the articulating bar with the modified AFO's first, and now we use the Markell shoes with the articulating bar. I found the AFO style to be very comfortable for my son, he never had a bit of trouble with sores or being uncomfortable. The Markell shoes are also working well for us with the articulating bar. I really like the flexibility it gives Sammy - he is a restless sleeper and is able to sleep comfortably on his tummy (his favorite) with more freedom to put his feet in different positions. He is also able to cruise and walk with a toy very easily - as well as he does when he is brace free. These things are all possible with the regular FAB but I think the added flexibility really adds to his comfort. Hope this helps, let me know if you have any other questions. > > I was interested in anyone's experience with the Dobbs brace. The DBB > has not been working (pulling feet out, constant crying). Guest guest
, Do you have a picture of this brace or is there a website? I am meeting with the ortho tomorrow about my sons brace and am trying to get him to modify what he is wearing so that he may be more comfortable. Thanks! wrote: Amy, My experience with the Dobbs' brace has been great. Guest guest
Trishia, There are photos of the brace in the photos section on the group website on Yahoo, I'll post the link, but not sure it will work since it is so long. They are in a folder called Dobbs brace. I'll also send you a document that you can take to your doctor. http://photos.groups.yahoo.com/group/nosurgery4clubfoot/lst?.dir=/Dobb%27s+Brace\ & .src=gr & .order= & .view=t & .done=http%3a//photos.groups.yahoo.com/group/nosurgery4\ clubfoot/lst%3f%26.dir=/%26.src=gr%26.view=t > > > > I was interested in anyone's experience with the Dobbs brace.
