I have Medicare.< I dunno Claire, mine did. I have blue cross. Dr. A is good at making a " medical necessity " case which is generally approved. >Also will taking the apron off before the big surgery be helpful in there not being a need to have a tummy tuck after you lose your weight. < Dunno that either-- My BMI is pretty high and there is a lot of me left despite the 20 lbs Dr. A took off. My guess is, at 50 years, my skin is not gonna shrink and i will need a second panni-- but I am more concerned about my bat wing arms. By the time I loose all the extra weight, i may make a good flying squirrel. > Oh and one more thought do you know why Dr. Anthone likes to take the apron off first.< it improves mobility, is less strain on the vertical incision, and reduces BMI. There may be more reasons, but I can't remember them. > I'm relatively new to all this so excuse my inquisivity (lol). < That;that's what we're here for-- passing around information! Have you been over to Dr. A's list? it is also a Yahoo group : ds_usc >Bye the way I have my first appointment with Dr. Anthone December 17 at 2:15 :-)))) of course I'm ready today, but I've got to wait my turn... Thank you, Claire < You may get a surprise call with a sooner date, if there are enough cancellations! I did-- original date was June something, went in April, had the panni surgery on June 13-- but I have to wait my turn for the DS, I got put back in line in August, and October is booked now, so unless someone cancels, who knows when I will actually become a post-op. Good Luck!
