I don't know any other surgeons who do the surgery

this way - maybe someone else does.

I am not sure about Dr. Elariny in Virginia in but I thinik Dr.Gagner only

does the two step on patints with high BMI's and I think over 60 is

considered high. My BMI was higher than yours and I had it done in one

procedure.

The only reason that I had a 2-stage Lap is because my

BMI was 63 over Mt. Sinai's cutoff which is 60. They

perform it this way due to the higher risk of problems

with patients having complete lap's with BMI's over

60.

I will say that the thought of going back in a couple

weeks scares me a little ~ because I am feeling sooo

good!! Better than I have ever felt!! And I don't

want this momemtum to end.
