Guest guest
Hi GH - I don't know any other surgeons who do the surgery this way - maybe someone else does. Good luck on your search. Guest guest
I am not sure about Dr. Elariny in Virginia in but I thinik Dr.Gagner only does the two step on patints with high BMI's and I think over 60 is considered high. My BMI was higher than yours and I had it done in one procedure. Dana-Joy Dr. Gagner Jan11, 2001 305 BMI 53 159 BMI 28 My Obesity Help Page
Guest guest
The only reason that I had a 2-stage Lap is because my BMI was 63 over Mt. Sinai's cutoff which is 60. They perform it this way due to the higher risk of problems with patients having complete lap's with BMI's over 60. I will say that the thought of going back in a couple weeks scares me a little ~ because I am feeling sooo good!! Better than I have ever felt!! And I don't want this momemtum to end.
