Guest guest
I know garlic is more effective raw but that doesn't mean, from what I've read, that cooked means it's ineffective. And, it's so much milder cooked you can eat more! One really nice way to cook it is to take a whole bulb, cut a slice off the top, wrap in foil, and bake for about an hour. It comes out mellow and creamy and soft, is a nice spread. Or just eat it like I do. The only problem here is if someone in the house (like my DH, who thinks a clove of garlic being cooked on Mars is entirely too close) doesn't care for smelling it cooking. I just figure the more garlic we can get down the better.
