Has anyone noticed a difference in the way your mouth opens after

lower surgery. I am 7 weeks and dont see my os again for 2 more

weeks. I have been working on opening and seem to be at full range.

Meaning...that my jaws dont feel like they will open any wider. But

when I open, my lower teeth immediately begin to move down and back

as opposed to just moving down. Imagine an overbite affect with your

mouth open. This is weird to me and I am only able to open enough to

fit 2 fingers in my mouth ( one on top of another). Just concerned?

thanks

Hi, I am 4 months post and I can open only two fingers also. my

opening is 36mm which is good according to my OS, but it is still

hard getting some foods in. I am forcing myself to chew

constantly. I find I am still going for soft foods to avoid

chewing. Call your OS - I saw mine 2 times a week while wired, then

once a week, and once 2 weeks, now I go again in 6 weeks. Call if

you think your jaw is not healing right, it is too important, and

tell him that you want to be seen.

good luck.
