Guest guest
Hi Anita-- My Panni was actually only 14 or 15 weeks ago, June 13. I think Dr. A's office sorts the folks up for DS based on the date Dr. A actually says " Okay, let's do it " . So, instead of a date corresponding to the initial appointment in May, I will end up with a date corresponding to my last post-op panni visit. I got a call from the nasty Blue Cross case manager today and, in her typically indirect manner, I got the impression that she was working with Dr. A's office on formal approval of a date. I was advising her that her insistence on my going into a clinic for dressing changes five days a week was increasing my activity level by a factor of three, and I wasn't sure I would be able to do it. She responds by saying, " if you are that impaired, maybe you aren't ready for the surgery and we should postpone it... " Evil Woman. As soon as I actually have a DS date, I am getting a new case manager. For the most part, Blue cross of CA has been great. no fuss, no bother, approval within a couple of weeks after my first visit with Dr. A. This creepy woman is a typical bean counter, with a nasty personality besides. I am hopeful that tomorrow's e-mail will yield a date. Nan E. 5'2 " , 368 20 pounds off in panni waiting for a DS date with Dr. Anthone in CA ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO! Guest guest
Nan, Thanks for the update! That woman does sound like a wench! I can understand being concerned for your health, but that quote didn't sound like concern to me. I'm glad BC of CA has been working out for you. Let us know when you get a DS date!
