Guest guest
, ask if they are just wiring or screwing your jaw with rigid fixation... just wiring is about 6 weeks till you talk normally because your jaws are 100% clamped shut. The other way you are only clamped about a week. Sounds like your dr's just gonna wire... like mine did. I can talk but it's mumbled and I don't call people on the phone. I had to return a call to my bank and the woman- after almost hanging up on me but then realizing I told her i had jaw surgery, was all freaked out just talking to me. She didn't want me to hurt myself. Also, if I talk too much in general, which i tend to do, my teeth start to hurt from the pressure on them. Good Luck! Guest guest
I just had my surgery yesterday and am taking pills fine. I have to take this big amoxicillin antibiotic three times a day. It took awhile to swallow without it hurting as the tube they put down your throat to keep your airway open really scratches your throat and causes pain when swallowing. > > > > > I just thought of something, I work at a call centre (I do incoming > > and make car reservations for Avis Rent-A-Car) and the woman at my > > oral surgeon's office said I'd likely need at least 6 weeks off > > because my job is talking on the phone for 8 hours a day.
