Seems to me the RNY is about the biggest negative reinforcement one could have. >> This is pretty accurate for me, too. I have a knee jerk reaction to negative feedback. I mean, criticism can be constructive and must be heard out and heeded but I (and I don't think most human beings) can really say they enjoy it! LOL I don't think I have the psychological constitution to be attracted to the RNY. I just don't see all the positive benefits of dumping. I can see where someone would opt for a proximal (but I'd rather look into the lapband in that case) and wouldn't want malapsorption issues, etc. but I wouldn't be so attracted to the surgery as a 'behavior modifier.' However, this seems to be a pretty big draw for many who opt for the RNY. all the best, lap ds with gallbladder removal January 25,2 001 Dr. GAgner/mt.
