Hi,

My daughter just started in her Starband last Thursday...today was the first full day of wear. She seems to be adjusting fine, except when she is on her back she seems to get upset (this includes when she is sleeping) i dont think she is in pain....i think she is just having a hard time turning her head from side to side bc the the starband is a little big (they say everyones starts out a little big) and also bc it is a new feeling on the back of her neck? i was wondering if anyone else noticed this in the beginning? i am assuming they just get used to the feeling and everything goes back to normal for them sleeping on the back and playing on the gym mat...

my other question is neck strength. My daughter just turned 5 months yesterday...she is basically sitting up on her own (has been able to hold her head up very well for a long time) and she can do tummy time for a while-and holds her head up high and almost push all of her belly off the ground. since we started the star band...she is having a hard time with tummy time (she can do it but not for as long and cant hold her head up as high) and when she sits on her tush on the ground or her bumbo she is still holding her head up but not as well as she used to...is this just because its her first few days of breaking in and wearing (today was full day) and once she gets adjusted she will be able to do the tummy time like she was before the starband and hold her head up better?

I am assuming the answer is yes-bc i didnt read on here at all about any moms or dads being upset that their baby was regressing in milestones bc of the starband...but i figured i would ask :) sorry this was such a long email! i guess i had a lot of questions :)

thanks for your time!

Carly
