Hi all,

I've been buying the Organic Valley cultured unsalted butter but to save $2/box

I see that there is a generic Publix organic unsalted butter. However, it lists

lactic acid as an ingredient.

Is this illegal or safe?

Thanks,

Caroline

Hey Pat,I hope everything does calm down for you. if not, and I seem to be posting this on all sorts of threads, there are gallbladder cleanses detailed in the book Healing With Whole Foods by Pitchford. great book. I would def try them b4 surgery.

Best,

Thanks.  I didn't want to waste a pint of the good stuff (from a local dairy).  Of course it really wouldn't be wasted. My dog (bratty shiba inu ..... there is no other kind) loves my 'errors " .

I'll start the yogurt tomorrow.

Regards .... Pat

Pat,You don't need to ferment the cream first, but it is really tasty making butter from SCD French Cream.  It will also whip just the same as fresh cream too.
