Guest guest
Laurie- Thanks for letting me know, I went to the dr today sort of mad at my dr that he sent me to the hospital yesterday to get a transfusion because i am so anemic, as i turns out i didnt have to do that, today we established that i would go see the gastroenderologist and work on getting an endoscopy, to rule out a bleeding ulcer and i figure they can check my anastomosis at that time also. thanks for sharing sorry you have this ulcer problem but somehow its comforting to have someone to commisterate with, he prescribed previcid, i also have some iron to take that i have never had to take before because my lab values were good, gotta do the guiac stool tests before i can start the iron though, so my fatigue will be with me for awhile, the thing is i havent been able to eat much so i havent pooped much and i have to check three stools, this may take awhile, today though i made a stew in the crockpot and i had a small bowl and some chicken noodle soup, so hopefully i can produce something...................we have to be family in here to share poop storys.........................LOL, today i bought a snowcone machine on sale at kohls for 19.99, it made the best fluffiey ist snow, you just toss in your own ice cubes from your fridge, now i am going to go on line and try to find sugar free syrup, for some reason drinking water for me is hard but icees like that work well and i can get so much more in and i was close to needing another iv yesterday but today i got 50 oz in and i still have time to drink more before i go to bed............. again thanks for sharing Laurie Colleen > __________________________________________________ >
Guest guest
Hey Colleen, Things sound tough for you right now. I can't believe they haven't had you taking iron from the start. I've been taking it all along, and my ferritin is still a bit low. I've increased (doubled) my iron. And my ulcer isn't bleeding, knock on wood! I got my H. pylori results in today's mail. It is negative, so surgery might be the only way to fix it. Funny, I bought a snowcone machine yesterday! Got syrups for the kiddies, and ordered some sugar free ones for myself from vitalady today. Sounds like we think alike. LOL My machine wasn't on sale though. Got it at Wallyworld. It will make two at the same time, which is good because I can make one for each kid at the same time. Keep in touch with me and let me know what you find out. I still hope it's just a bug! Hugs, Laurie __________________________________________________
