Guest guest
Hi everyone. Just thought I'd post an update on Marcus's tenotomy. He had it done yesterday. Everything went very well. The little bugger is a big eater and he started squirming for food in the car before we even got to the doctor's. So, naturally, by the time they got us in and the cast removed, he was already all worked up (how dare I not feed him for three hours! He was screaming by the time the procedure started. The whole thing took all of maybe 5 minutes, including the local anesthetic. As soon as I put the bottle of food in his little mouth, he became perfectly calm. They put a steri-strip on the cut and applied the cast. He finished eating in the meantime and you would never have known he had anything done to him. I gave him some Tylenol later (more for my benefit, so that I could be assured he wasn't in pain). He slept well last night and he's fine today. I am so thankful it's over. I was worried about the whole thing, but for nothing. Thank you all for your support. It's nice to know I can turn to someone if I do run into problems or have questions. I also want to wish you all a Very Merry Christmas!
