> Hey, kev - The surgery you just went thru is ALOT scarier than

implants. I'm about to start the whole implant process; next friday

I'm having a tooth extracted, then I have to wait two months before I

get my implant installed. My Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon will

drill (yikes!) into my jawbone and place the titanium implant there,

then sew it closed. Then, after four months of healing and the bone

growing around the implant, an abutment (the thing the tooth will be

attached to) will be attached to the implant and then it's off to my

dentist for the tooth. My surgeon told me to expect some pain but

he'll prescribe something good to keep me relatively pain-free. //

I'm new to this group today - I posted earlier this evening. I would

LUV to have the surgery you just had. As my implant procedure moves

forward, I'll keep you'all informed. The way I look at it is: if I

can survive the implant procedure, maybe I'm ready to proceed with my

badly-needed jaw surgery. / Thank you to everyone: I've been reading

alot on here tonight and learning so much. Thank you, thank you,

thank you!!! // Diane
