Guest guest
Hello All. This is my first post, but I am an avid lurker & have learned sooo much from you guys. I am now 13.5 mos. out from a proximal RNY and have lost 115 lbs. I need to lose about 30 more to be where I would like to be before I have a TT. My question today is about ferritin. I just got my labs back from my PCP & my ferritin level was 10 with a normal range of 10-200. I had my labs done because I was feeling so tired, so obviously I need to supplement iron. My PCP recommended Fea-Sol, which is a capsule that I can empty into food. Knowing that our doctors are not as knowledgeable about supplementation as we wish they were, I wanted to get ya'lls opinion. What kind of iron do you supplement with? Is there a certain type that we absorb better? Any help will be appreciated. Lap RNY 5/21/02 Dr. Olsen, Centennial Medical Center
