Guest guest
I'm new to this group and have noticed that most of the posts deal with orthoses - I was wondering if anyone has had any luck correcting plagio strictly using repositioning? My son (he's my second - the first had no plagio issues) is 7 weeks old and I've been aggressively repositioning for the past week in hopes that I'll see some changes before his 2 month well visit, even if the changes are minor. He had mild torticollis from birth due to his position in the womb, but I've been doing gentle stretches every day (I'm an Occupational Therapist and have dealt with tort before) and it's improved significantly. If you were attempting repo, how long did you wait for results before considering a helmet? I've read that if there's little to no improvement after 6-8 weeks that evaluation for a helmet should be considered at that point... Thanks in advance for any advice/info! Guest guest
I thnik you have a very good chance to correct your son's head shape since you started early. We start to reposition my son when he was 6 and half month. We see the result in about 2-3 weeks. Now he is 13 month and prefer to sleep on his tummy.
