I am going to buy one individual plan - Blue cross blue sheild the specialist is Oral surgeon. Can any one suggest a good Doctor at jersey city , NJ. When you have an oral surgeon, he or she should be able to give you the best advice, I'd think, as they work with insurance companies all the time. Meantime, be sure to read any policy you're thinking of buying very carefully. You want to avoid anything that has an outright exclusion of orthognathic surgery, for example. This isn't the kind of advice you wanted, but I think it's almost impossible to generalize about such things. My particular Blue Cross/Blue Shield policy covered my surgery, but one in your state may not, or one in your state may, while another may not. They try to keep it complicated, I think...
