Guest guest
Celebration halted for the moment. When I took him out of the shoes to get him dressed this morning, he had a red spot on the upper part of each heel. I just checked again, and the spots are not worse, and seem to have faded for now. They were red, not purple, not raised like a blister yet. I have scanned through a few of the tips files, but some it seems contradictory...tight shoes can cause blisters, but too loose can cause friction causing blisters?? On to 2nd problem. He has now started slipping out(twice today so far only in his clubfoot). I moved the tongue down a little, and checked his positioning several times. I don't understand how the reascal is doing it. I have some moleskin from our 1st(non- DBB/FAB brace) brace experience left. Can I cut and glue a part of that at the top of the ankle part of the shoe where the plastizote would be put at? Would that work the same? I also read on the Ponsetti file that the open heel shoes are only made up to size 1? Is that still true bc that it what size Isaac(7 months is in now) and though he is in the regular ones right now, I did and am still requesting the open heel ones. Ironically, I still have open heeled ones from the other brace system we had, but they are too small now. > > Day 6 is rising, and I got 8.25 hr of sleep only interrupted twice > briefly. Guest guest
The shoe on the CF sounds like it is too big. I can't stand it when they won't listen when you tell them that. They need to split sizes for you. If the 1 W is too big, maybe a 1 Narrow or Regular would help (and there really is a variance in the way they fit in the width too so make them look at all the options), but with 3/4 " at the toe I'm inclined to think he should have a 0 on that foot. At least for now, they may get closer in size as they get bigger. I don't really have any experience with the moleskin, I can't really say if it would help with the slipping. If they had fit his shoe correctly that probably wouldn't be a problem. Can't wait to see pictures, hopefully that will help! > > > > > > > > Day 6 is rising, and I got 8.25 hr of sleep only interrupted > twice > > > > briefly. Guest guest
I just printed out the sizing charts and measured. Strangely, according to that(and I checked to make sure the heel was on the line and flat, the regular foot was at 1.5 and the club barely over the 0. But when I send the pics to the CPics, u will see how much space is left at the ends. Why is there half sizes for every other step but from 0 to 1? It seems like he should be in a 0.5 right now for his club since 9 is too small, but 1 too big. Oh, he is in M in width. > > > > > > > > > > Day 6 is rising, and I got 8.25 hr of sleep only interrupted > > twice > > > > > briefly. Guest guest
I am trying unsuccessfully to send pics on the CPics site. I will have to try again later tonight. > > > > > > > > > > Day 6 is rising, and I got 8.25 hr of sleep only interrupted > > twice > > > > > briefly. Guest guest
I would definitely try to get Isaac new shoes-the whole width thing can also be attributing to his houdini exploits! Take the chart with you so that you are armed and ready! take care, kathleen > > > > > > > > > > > > Day 6 is rising, and I got 8.25 hr of sleep only > interrupted > > > twice > > > > > > briefly.
