Hi Kate,

congratulations on Connor's graduation, and also on the new baby. It sounds like

Connor had great results.

As for the 2nd one, when he/she arrives be very aware of tort, do lots of tummy

time, and make sure he/she sleeps with their head in a variety of positions. You

don't have to " reposition " initially, but watch how they sleep and encourage

them to look the other way. One thing you can do is flip them in the crib each

night - babies may look toward the light, toward mommy etc, so that may help

them look both ways. Also alter their position during feeding and while changing

diapers. If you do notice a flat spot you may want to start " repo " , and if tort

is present talk to your doctor and start stretches right away. I think both CT

and Orthomerica have brochures on " tummy time " you can take a look at.

Unfortunately some families do end up with multiple banded babies, especially if

the plagio starts inutero. However knowing about plagio does keep some families

from needing to band a second child.

done with his helmet! He started it on Feb 19th and got it off yesterday. His

torticollis, which caused his plagio is pretty much resolved as well! He is

turning one on Sunday so this is a great birthday present. We were very happy

with our band from Cranial Solutions. He started at 13mm assymetry and is down

to 1mm. We do notice improvement in his ear allignment as well but they are not

perfect..I think only I really notice it now, everyone thinks he looks

fantastic. I am a little paranoid about regression but as I've read on here

many times I know is unlikely.

I've heard the Boppy Noggin Nest is good for helping with prevention. Any other

things out there anyones used to help?
