Guest guest
F, I have called Mayer in the past and got a very helpful rep who mailed me a list of gluten-free products. We use their hotdogs and baloney. Most of their products are gluten-free. If you have a fax, I could fax it to you. My scanner is currently not working. This is funny, because I bought some yesterday, and thought of the fact that it could be anything under that " flavoring " -but needed a variation on the " ham always ham " so I tried bologna-and when my son ate it today he got hyper within an hour and started screaming all afternoon; he kept on taking his pants nad pullups off, and he put his hands in it after he did #2!!! few minutes ago, he collapsed on the couch, fast asleep, and didn't even want his pancakes for supper. BTW, he ate ONLY bologna today, no tortillas, no potato chips and no tomatoes, all things that he usually goes crazy about; just plain bologna slices......makes one wonder, huh? I think the " flavoring " in it, could be something...I am not sure, so if you do find out, please post. For now, won't eat bologna again. Another thing goes nuts on-and it is brand new, because he never even wanted to touch it before-is majonnaise. But it is not gfcf, not the brand I like at least, I don't think. So I Have been thinking of making my own majonnaise, like it used to be in my family since I was a kid (actually, still is: my dad doesn't like the " bought stuff " so he makes it at home); the only thing is that it doesn't stay good for more than a week or so, and we don't use that much majo, to be making that whole dose (which calls for one egg, so I can't cut in half, darn it!). Is there any way to store it or add something to preserve it longer-in fridge of course-. I don't think it would freeze good: it'll probably separate, and that's no good. Well, let me know about the bologna from Meyer. Cristina-Wa (mom to 4.7 yr ASD, & 22 mo twins NT) **
