Guest guest
OH man, what a drag. Of course, the BP would drop when the apnea goes away. Can you appeal it? Thanks, Vitalady, Inc. Guest guest
Dear Sharon don't be afraid... Put on your high heel sneakers and yo wig hat on yo head, and march right over to that phone and find out how to appeal this. Your dh has health and potential life threatening apnea. Do what you have to do to show the ins people a new point of view. For certain, they do not want his blood on their hands if he stops breathing in the night. A lot of men are 30-40 lbs overweight, and I think it is so good of you to be concerned and to try to do all you can to help your hubby. I condemn the culture's way of demeaning the value and preciousness of men, by not being concerned about them toting around those big bellies that get in their way and make it hard for them to move and breath. Yes, men who are carrying extra weight often have skinny legs or no butt to speak of, but what is the real intent of telling them it is ok to tote around the equivalent of a 40 pound medicine ball hanging off their chests? Who the heck is really watching over them? I'll tell you who... the women and men who love them. It is really tiresome to see how men are continually treated poorly in several so critical areas of life--health being one of them... (except for those 1000 guys at the top of the pile who more or less keep all privilege reserved for themselves) So you do what you need to, and don't take this first no for an answer. Many of the insurance companies count on people to be ignorant of their appeal rights and/or to just put their tails between their legs and go away. I know you can get the care for your husband he needs. Hang in there, love, ceep >>>>>>>>>our ins. co. denied my husbands CPAP (sleep apnea and restless leg syndrome found recently on sleep study).
