Guest guest
My orthodontist told me that the invisalign system was for very minor teeth movement and she would never recommend it. It's very costly and you can't get good movement fast if need be. This has to be done with braces. Guest guest
impossible - especially if you're having surgery... get confirmation from your ortho and surgeon > > Have any surgeries been done with the patient using the invisalign system all the way > through? Guest guest
From what I know, you can't have invisilign with surgery - has to be the real thing . Plus, from what I know, even without surgery, invisilign's possibilities are limited, treatment time is longer, and cost is higher. I actually like my braces . > > Have any surgeries been done with the patient using the invisalign system all the way > through? Have any of you done this? > > Thanks so much!! Guest guest
My dentist (who I don't use any longer) said I was the perfect candididate for invisiline. I was a little skeptical since he wasn't an ortho. I went to my ortho for a consult and told him about it. He said no, I needed surgery to correct my bite and that would only be possible with braces. I don't know a lot about invisiline except what it looks like and that my dentist (former) has finance plans for it. I would definately get an orthodontists opinion on the matter. Guest guest
I'm not aware of any. Most who have inquired have been told that they are not appropriate candidates for Invisalign... But I am ready to be corrected! Technology's always improving. In any case, the surgeon will need something, I would think, to wire in a splint, wire or band you post op. Arch bars can be used (talk to one of the Bob's who's just mentioned those) or regular brackets and wires. Sounds like you might be worried about what folks will think when they see you. If that's the case, don't be. Most people (unless you're a model or actress or such) really don't care, unless they have questions about things of their own they wanna fix...
