Guest guest
Dear Sue, same for me. ok before, but lactose sicker-than-a-dog after intolerant. Can eat cheese, half and half in cofee. Yogurt, the sugar in it makes me have to lie down and die the death of a thousand sstomach cramps. If I HAD to drink milk everyday, I would report the enforcer o such a thing for child abuse. It makes me literally ill and unable to work. Is the 'expert' who orders such going to soothe my brow and pay my bills so I can be sick 24/7. (Man, Aunt Crabby is STILL visiting) If the woman can't understand this, maybe she can understand HIGH SUGAR content in milk causes dumping in RNY's. Sugar. Sugar. Not good. No no. Perhaps she can understand ALLERGY. Perhaps the first lateral move is to educate her about all persons being different in many ways, and that another 'one size fits all' announcment isn't effective. just my two cent's worth. The older I become Sue, I find myself becoming impatient with those who insist all be writ in double blind studies at every turn, that their minds do not u nderstand many kinds of proofs, including double blinds. Grrrrrrr. Maybe it's not Aunt Crabby after all. Maybe its Fugitive Madwoman. (grin) love, ceep loaded for bear who says menopausal women don't have their time of the month. Its the time of the week that starts making it really a bit too much....(grin) In a message dated 6/22/03 10:41:17 PM, Graduate-OSSG writes: << Sue, I don't know about any studies, but I DO know that pre WLS, I was not lactose intolerant, and since WLS, I am. Milk, ice cream, any uncultured milk products make me violently ill. I can eat cheese and yogurt just fine.
