conversation with Dr. Ponseti

Hello dear families,

I was having a non-clubfoot conversation with Dr. Ponseti this AM and

when we were finished with the topic he told me about a family who

adopted a 3 1/2yr old child from China with clubfeet that had never

been treated. Dr.Ponseti casted the child to full correction with the

tenotomy and no other surgery was needed.

This is very exciting news!!! Because of all your families connecting

on the web-site more and more children can have the treatment tried at

older ages before turning to surgical intervention....why would'nt a

family try this first????? Every surgeon should give the most

conservative treatment a fair first attempt " First Do No Harm "
