Guest guest
Yay Halley! You will LOVE the s - you can see everything that is going on with the feet. Sadly, I must tell you that it took us two weeks to get our s - sorry! Halley Prestage wrote: Hello, That sounds good to me, I just though maybe it meant that her heel was lifting. We have a used pair of Markells right now from the hospital that don't have a hole in the heel to see if it's down or not. We should be getting our impression kit for the s today (hopefully!). I think that will be much better. Also, when I've noticed that I haven't been getting all of the e-mails b/c when I looked at the nosurgery4clubfoot site, I saw that had also responded but that reply wasn't sent to me for some reason. Thanks , btw! Please don't think I'm ignoring your reply, there is just something weird happening that causes me not to get all of the e-mails. I really appreciate that you take the time to answer as I know how busy everyone is! Have a good day, Halley p.s. my impression kit was sent priority from Iowa last Wednesday and I thought it would take only 2-3 days. How long did it take your stuff to arrive in Canada ? I think I'll pay extra and go FedEx overnight when they send the brace to us. Re: shoe fit question I'm not sure, but doesn't this mean that her heels are just fitting better into the back of the shoe now? I noticed the same thing with Hayden - he started out closer to the edge of his s and now his feet are farther back because his dorsiflexion has improved and they fit much better. Do your shoes have the holes punched out of the inside heel so you can see her foot (heel)? You would be able to tell if her foot was flat or if she was lifting it. Of course I am not expert here because I am just as new to this as you are, so perhaps I'll leave it to the others now! P.S. If your shoes don't have the peekhole, you should ask your orthotist to do it - it makes a WORLD of difference! It seemed like I used to be able to get her foot to go down into the shoe more easily than I can now. How I measure is by how close her foot comes to the edge of the shoe. It seems like now her toes don't come as close to the edge as they did initially. I think I am getting them on pretty tight, but it's hard to tell. Any ideas or thoughts about this? Thanks very much!
