Guest guest
Some suggestions on post op eating: Eat bread toasted or try crackers. Bread toasted goes down much easier than regular bread. Eat meats with lots of gravy on them. Eat dark meat not light meat chicken. This goes down much better. It is more moist. Boil pasta for at least 1.5 the amount of time suggested. So if it says 10 minutes, boil it for at least 15 minutes. It makes a big difference. Add extra water to rice before you cook it. I add about 2 1/2 cups per cup uncooked rice. I think the package calls for 2 cups. Cook it and then let it sit until all water is absorbed. Use a lot of ketsup on meat. As you can see, think moist, moist, moist. It will make a big difference. This prevents the pastas and rice from swelling after you eat them (ouch!). The exception seems to be bread and crackers. They must dissolve or something easier when they are crunchy. Hope this helps! Dawn
