Guest guest
I hope someone can help me with this. My son currently takes a small dose of adderall, which contains lactose. I'm gradually reducing this until (hopefully) he will be taking none. Has anyone taken their child off of a stimulant and replaced it with something that's natural and GFCF? If so, what product did you use? Second, my son also takes a small dose of zoloft. I just got a new prescription for the liquid since the tablets are artificially colored (we are on Feingold). I just read the label and the inactive ingredients are glycerin, alcohol, menthol, and BHT. I know BHT is supposed to be avoided on the Feingold diet, so I'm already not sure what to do about this. But what about the alcohol? Are there any types of alcohol permitted on the GFCF diet? My son seems to REALLY need an SSRI otherwise he gets extremely obsessed about certain objects. The more I read these labels, I'm starting to get really ticked off at these pharmaceutical companies. With all their billions of dollars you'd think they could manufacture a product that's free of common allergens! Not only that, they make it really hard to find the ingredients.
