Would you reduce hours?

Hello! Dr. P told us he wanted Lucas in his brace for 20-22

hrs a day for 6 weeks and then drop to 18. We've had him in it for at

least 22 for the last 3 weeks, sometimes more- he's done so well with

it, so why not?? :) Anyway, he has started to stand straight up

(yay!) and even shuffles forward if he holds onto something while

wearing the brace. He looks like he's moving around on a snowboard!

During his 2 hours out he's standing most of the time. He constantly

stands, sits, stand, sit....on and on. His legs are getting stronger

every day.

I'm thinking about cutting his hours to 20 for 3 weeks before going to

18, so he'll have more time to stand and learn to walk (he's 14 mos).

I already spoke to and got her opinion, but my husband is

reluctant to cut back unless Dr. P specifically says we should. What's

everyone else's opinion? Should I just email Dr. Ponseti?

Thanks!

Jenn
