Guest guest
Re: BC MSP coverage 1. They do not require a pre approval for surgeries done in a Hospital in Canada. (They will not cover Private Clinics) and I was told they cover all Provinces except Quebec. 1a. Your Care card is all that is required as they have a transfer arrangement with other Provinces ( I was told I would not need up front money) 2. They do not cover any travel out of Province, Hotel/motel stays. 2a. This means you will have to contact your individual extended Health to see if they will cover travel and motels. My Extended Medical benefits We have Operating Engineers 115 that uses , D.A. Townley as they have recently switched from Pacific Blue Cross. They will cover only with pre approval from BC MSP requested by your Physician: 1. $50 deductible Travel 2. $50 per day up to 3 days motel 3. Semiprivate or private room 4. They do not cover Parking 5. Their advice was to keep Photo copies of evrything and every reciept. 6. Check to see if you have reached your medication expense limit, If your medical expenses are over $1275.00 for the year, then after a $25 deductible your eligible expenses would be taken care of at 100% I have just called Dr. Calqhoun (Bilio Pancreatic Diversion) in Saskatoon I was told by his Nurse that they would look at my files tommorrow, if he says I am a candidate, I can go ahead and book a flight from Abbotsford to Saskatoon for the consult. I will also see my GP on Friday for the request for pre approval required by my extended medical server.
